Orange Farm, Johannesburg — The spirit of women’s leadership was alive today as 150 women gathered in Orange Farm under the banner of the Umkhonto WeSizwe Party (MKP) Women’s League.
Although official structures are yet to be announced, these women have already begun organizing, recruiting, and preparing to ensure MKP’s victory in the 2026 elections.
The event was led by MKP Women’s League President, Cde Shirley Brown, alongside National Organiser, Cde Linda Mkhonto, who both welcomed the new members with messages of unity and purpose.
“We are not waiting for announcements — we are building from the ground up,” said President Shirley Brown. “Every woman here today is a pillar of our movement and the future of South African leadership.”
Cde Linda Mkhonto encouraged members to remain active and disciplined, emphasizing that real structures are built through people’s action and commitment.
